How To - Locate My Hosting Company
Applies to: SmarterMail (all versions), SmarterStats (all versions), and SmarterTrack (all Versions)

If you are a User of SmarterMail, SmarterStats, SmarterTrack or SmarterTicket and do not actually own a license of a SmarterTools product and are looking for help.  Then, it will be necessary for you to contact your hosting company, in order to get help resolving your issue.  We are the Developers of  SmarterMail, SmarterStats, SmarterTrack and SmarterTicket and we do not provided hosted services.

In an effort to help you identify who your hosting company, go to http:\\www.dnsstuff.com.   Once, you are at the website, enter the last part of your email address (after the @ symbol) in the DNSreport field and click the DNSreport button.  Once, the page is fully loaded, scroll down and look for the MX section, MX Record, and then copy the IP recorded on this line.  Next,  go back to the home page of DNSStuff.com and look for WHOIS/IPWHOIS, paste the IP into the field and then, click the WHOIS button. The page that is returned will provide you with all the necessary information, in order to contact your hosting company and get the help you need.
